The second image is of the army of Xerxes.....unless the DS finally sees the light.
2nd image is the follow on battle at Plataea where the largest hoplite army ever assembled soundly defeated the Persians under Mardonius (Xerxes having already returned to Persia). The first was the holding action at Thermopylae to give them time.
So it does relate - we won a holding action in 2016 and are getting ready to seriously kick some ass.
