Merely counting how many sealed indictments are issued in a given jurisdiction doesn't mean a lot, does it?

I mean there are all sorts of sealed indictemnts, including routinely for search warrants. We see, now that we have a few months of equal length, that there looks like a steady stream of these in most jurisdictions. 4.3,3,4,4 in the last five months.

How many of these have been usealed? What were those for?

Without doing some secondary research it's like posting the number of home runs hit in every park in the major leagues, and then claiming "hitters are hitting more home runs then ever! The totals keep going up!"

At first this statistic seemed interesting, but now, not so much. It's easy to believe (project even!) that this number will pass 100,000 in about six months, and 200,000 by the end of Trump's term.

Lots of search warrants will have been served, lots of criminals will have been arrested (like the 30 or so MS-13s near Modesto last week).

Not enough information to draw any useful conclusions from it.
