They are trying to blame all this on alcohol.

I don’t think that was the real problem.

Now Joe Namath in a dress, that WAS funny! :)

I think Milton Berle did it for some pretty good laughs too.

I know. You’d be surprised. Alcohol seem like your best friend one day....then it tells the person you hate you let it finger your bum in the parking lot of Wendy’s....

Just downhill from there.

Friend of mine told me.

I don’t think so either. The man ? has issues.

As for alcohol in airports, not familiar with the opening times, but at busy airports, people are coming from all over the world and their biological clocks are different. Grew up in Chicago, took a flight out o’Hare at 11 am and saw the bar (and McDonalds and Chili’s) were packed.

I doubt that airport bars are going away because they are so profitable.

I used to work at an airport restaurant with a bar. That bar accounted for maybe 90% of total profit. Basically many travelers like a pop or two before getting on a plane. Not because they are alcoholics necessarily but they just want to calm their nerves a little before getting into a flying cattle car.

Flight attendants are well trained in recognizing travelers who are not sober or who are likely going to pose a problem. A couple years ago I was boarding a plane and a person in front of me was pulled aside because he was obviously drinking and was already making a nuisance of himself. They don't get all of them but considering the sheer number of flights that go out everyday, their batting average is pretty high.
