Some have been compromised in various ways including threats against their families and blackmailed. They resign themselves to the fact that they are stuck and might as well toe the line and make the most of it. Others are simply on the take and care more for the money and power than they do the country.
I think most of them and their families have been threatened
and told that they can make noises but had better not go over the line.
Good explanation and if that is the case we are no more or less a banana republic with corruption deep and wide.
We really need our own country although the corrupt will never let us go because we pay the “bills” which allows them to live quite well and maintain power.
All of it makes me sick as there doesn’t seem to be any honest politician, nor is there any place for us to go to report the corruption.
