I just read up on Mr. Bruce Dickinson. I always knew he was an incredible businessmans outside the band but I read that he is a Conservative and Eurosceptic.
And this comes from a man who wrote the song Bring your Daughter to the Slaughter.
Good man.
Good story
You got that right! I remember a concert in Denver around late '72. The headliners were Yes and Edgar Winter. The show was opened by a little band that almost no one had heard of... the Eagles. Great night.
I was surprised Van Morrison was left off.
Roger that. I just want to see the damn article.
I would have thought David Bowie would have made the list. Oh well, as long as the 2 Roberts are on there I’m good. (Plant and Smith)
Also Steve Perry from Journey and Phil Collins were left off.
I never really knew what that reference to Neil Young was talking about in that song. The guitar riffs were so good, I just accepted the song as is. Now, (one thousand years later) staring at the lyrics, I see they were talking about Neil’s attitude to the state and culture of Alabama. The state is the ‘her’ that Neil was said to have put down.
Eric Burdon and Nick Cave being the two most underrated.
Robert Plant being the most overrated.
Those guys did not so much as front a band as were single acts. Is it fair? No. But that’s probably the way most of those polled viewed it.
I think you mean Peter Cetera. I cant stand Phil Collins.
Same. To quote Jordan Peterson, I’m not doin’ it.
Nope I meant Phil Collins as singer and drummer for Genesis once Peter Gabriel left. Touche... I can’t stand Peter Cetera’s voice in Chicago or his solo stuff.
I watched the video. I’m not a fan of his music, but Geddy is a very cool guy.
Definitely Rush and Geddy Lee. I do so much rock and blues, there are hundreds of others I cant even think about until I see them mentioned. Neil Young, Ronnie Dio, Lou Reed, Donovan, John Gallagher from Dying Fetus and Frank from Suffocation. Les Claypool from Primus. Warren Zevon. Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker. Debbie Harry, Lemmy!!! On and on...
Yes. Bruce is a Conservative. All the Iron Maiden members are just genius. You can see their three hours of The History Of Iron Maiden videos on their YouTube channel. Excellent stuff!
#28.
He wuz robbed!
I saw him in the 70s at the old Hollywood Palladium. A real snoozefest.
Bruce Dickinson should of been high on any list. He still draws crowds of hundreds of thousands and can fire them up.
