I graduated from ND and I think the Yankee stripe is pretty cool.
As you know, the traditional colors of the Irish are blue and gold. But back in 1974 when I was a student, one home game against big bad USC, the Irish came out of the tunnel wearing Irish green shirts.
It got the home team fired to see the Fightin’ Irish color green! ND ended up winning that game... Just like politics, psychology is an important aspect of sports too.
Often wondered why they don’t use Kelly Green as their uniform colors.
Other teams do............Our local HS team uses it...........
