he NFLs ongoing national anthem controversy has made its way into a third season with the story taking center stage during this weeks preseason openers. While a handful of players conducted social justice protests during the anthem on Thursdays loaded slate of games, Marshawn Lynch, one of the NFLs most outspoken players, took a seat on the bench prior to the anthem ahead of Fridays game between the Oakland Raiders and Detroit Lions.

I know lifelong Skins fans of means who went to the teams training camp because they could never get game tickets.
I used to call them the Foreskins because I disliked them so much.
Since they stood up to keep the name they earned some respect.
The whole NFL has now lost my respect and interest.
I am through with the NFL.

Me too. Grew up in Contra Costa County, season tickets to the Raiders. Had a mad crush on Ken Stabler when I was a teenager.
Missed the 1996 season because i was out of the country and found i didnt really miss it. Havent watched any football but parts of the Super Bowl since.
Dropped cable in 2007 and same result. Didnt really miss it.

It's almost like those who are successful enough to spend that kind of money on a day's entertainment do not like it when you insult their anthem, their flag, their military, their ancestors, and their country. Who would have guessed?
