The NFL players are at it again - taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem. Numerous players, from different teams, wanted to show their outrage at something that most of them are unable to define. They make a fortune doing what they love......
.....Be happy, be cool! A football game, that fans are paying soooo much money to watch and enjoy, is no place to protest. Most of that money goes to the players anyway. Find another way to protest. Stand proudly for your National Anthem or be Suspended Without Pay!
We are the ones to do something. Boycott the bastards.
Florida restaurant cancels NFL package over national anthem protests!
Beef O’Brady’s will not be financially supporting the NFL this year due to their lack of compassion and gratitude for our American service members, the poster read. Our National Anthem is one of the methods we as American citizens have always used to show our appreciation to all military service members, past or present, alive or dead. This tradition deserves respect and unfortunately, the NFL does not feel that same way. So, for this season, we will not be purchasing the NFL ticket. Perhaps, it will make a difference if it hits their wallets.
Are they bowing to protest the shootings in Chicago?
I thought not.
Boycott the National Felons League
Keep up the boycott.
Why do we not trash any symbol of our nation...flag, anthem, military, etc?
Do the Redskin players begin each game trashing the redskin warrior?
If not, then why not?
Because it stands for all of the people who make it up, now and through history.
Lots of good men and women died fighting under that flag to defend their rights to criticize the police.
These clowns won’t be happy until they kill the NFL. Well, they killed it for me. I stopped watching during the preseason two years ago when the colon started all this b.s. I don’t miss it.
When I see a Trump Twitter, in my head I see Batman hitting the bad guys ala 1966: ZAP POW
Anyone notice these dudes taking the knee at any events during the off- season?
Just have President Trump stage a photo op with a group of disabled combat vets (WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan) showing respect for the anthem and flag and get that photo op as well as the clip of the US Marines raising the flag on Mount Suribachi on Twitter.
Make the NFL sponsor corporations defend the overgrown spoiled NFL brats.
Go Trump - MAGA
Go Melania aka Lady MAGA
Q is real
This is a fight the overpaid FL players are not going to win. Hint: look what happened to NFL TV ratings and ticket sales last year when they got into a fight with Donald Trump.
I like it!
Double Marine amputee: “I stand for the flag. How bout you?”
More proof the leftism is a mental disease. It results in irrational thinking, destructive behaviour, lashing out at misconceived threats, alienating friends. And they tend to destroy the lives of those around them in the process.
I haven’t thought about at all. If there’s a decent Saturday NCAA game on....I might catch it. Otherwise, it was pretty easy to just give it up.
Looks like I'm going into my THIRD year of not watching the NFL. My guitar will continue to get more attention than it did before the NFL players got terminally stupid.
Got tix to a Seahawk game last night. All stood. That was very encouraging.
The ‘head down’ rule. Already one really stupid call.
Kickoffs - new rule may actually improve the game. Incentivizes running out of the endzone. They should put the ball back on the 20 for touchbacks to encourage more of it.
They reinforce my decision to stop watching NFL games.
Agreed.
Boom - that picture and line at the end seals the deal.
It doesn't matter; the league has jumped the shark and will never return to its former prominence.
In other news, the Rays beat the Orioles 5/4, the sixth one-run game in a row for the Tampa Bay team. The Rays are keeping just above .500 with a collection of rookies and a smidgen of veterans, along with practically no pitching, but a team that looks like it will rise up in time to have the playoffs in its new stadium. And everyone in the stadium respected the national anthem.
That other Tampa Bay team? I hear they did something last night with some other team that disrespected the national anthem, but it's Friday and I have to pick up some fried fish for lunch, so maybe someone else can check into that.
