Went out at 4:30 this morning to feed my horses and saw something break up in the SW sky. It’s not uncommon to see the occasional shooting star or meteor, but I never saw one break up like that...
I’m in SE Washington so the breakup would have been somewhere over central Oregon I presume.
First week of August is one of the best anual events — saw one split apart with a burst like that while in the Boundry Waters in 93.
