ended on a West Boise neighborhood on Friday morning.
Residents of an Idaho suburb woke up Friday morning to a sight that really got their goat.
An invading herd of more than 100 goats rampaged through the neighborhood of West Boise, devouring flowerbeds, grass and leaves as they moved from yard to yard on Friday morning, NBC affiliate KTVB reported.
Representatives of the company that owns the animals, We Rent Goats, arrived at the scene and managed to herd the goats onto a truck around 9 a.m., less than two hours after the initial calls were fielded by Animal Control from the 10000 block of W. Summerwind Drive.
As the goats were rounded up by their handlers, a throng of onlookers and reporters rivaling the goat herd in size gathered to watch.

Goats can clear out poison ivy as well.
decades ago, goats were brought into the hills surrounding LA to munch on the undergrowth That was prolific and areas around those Hills. What the goat actually did was keep the browse down, which provides excellent tender for wildfires. The practice stopped years ago and the wildfires have yet to be suitably controlled. I think it’s time to bring the goat herders in the goats back and let them browse to their hearts content and help mitigate the Wildfire problem that California seems to be having each and every year.
At least the weeds were eaten.

I recall when Round-Up came on the market. Amazing. It seemed almost too good to be true. Turns out it was, too much collateral damage to other plant life, and contamination of the soils.
Sigh!...Sometimes you just can’t have Nice Things!
