You must be out of your mind. I am 90 years old and this is the worst time that I have known of for children to be alone at any time.

who what when where why and how

Once upon a time, journalism was part of the NEWS business. They were supposed to INFORM you and so they included the basic INFORMATION right up front.

Today, it's all entertainment and the equivalent of click bait.
It might never occur to them to tell you anything. They just want to snag your attention for awhile. Nothing else matters.

Iowa has also been busy recruiting 3rd world types.

Stranger abductions are very rare. In addition to runaways, children are commonly reported missing when they are taken by a non-custodial parent.

ok, I went to the Iowa missing persons board, here:

https://www.iowaonline.state.ia.us/mpic/Controller.aspx

I copied all the open missing persons (Still missing) listed back through December 2016, and removed everything that was not listed under “Juvenile”.

The last three months have been awful!

considerably less awful before that.

Only 24 kids reported still missing, that went missing in 2017.

But 130 kids went missing in Iowa in the last three months!
32 of them are 14 or under. 30 more are 15.

Missing In July: 47 kids: 25 girls, 22 boys.
17 year olds: 4 girls, 2 boys.
16 year olds: 7 girls, 8 boys.
15 year olds: 9 girls, 4 boys.
14 year olds: 2 girls, 5 boys.
13 year olds: 3 girls, 3 boys.

Missing In June: 42 kids: 26 girls, 16 boys.
17 year olds: 8 girls, 4 boys.
16 year olds: 8 girls, 7 boys.
15 year olds: 5 girls, 4 boys.
14 year olds: 2 girls, 0 boys.
13 year olds: 3 girls, 1 boy.

Missing In May: 41 kids. 21 girls, 20 boys.
17 year olds: 6 girls, 3 boys.
16 year olds: 3 girls, 4 boys.
15 year olds: 6 girls, 2 boys.
14 year olds: 3 girls, 5 boys.
13 year olds: 1 girl, 3 boys.
One Year old: 1 boy.

Missing in April: 13 kids, all 15 or older.
11 in March
6 in February

Perhaps many fewer are missing from more than 3 months ago because they have been found.

I also imagine many of the 16 and older are run-aways, but looking at this data screams evil in progress there to me.

Go Here:
https://www.iowaonline.state.ia.us/mpic/Controller.aspx

Click on List all Missing, on the left.

398 total people (Most are kids) ever reported missing in Iowa, are still currently missing, per this MPIC site.
(but over 40 kids missing per month in the last 3 months! All still missing.)

You can sort various ways, and you can click on any name to see details, race, etc.

I have not (yet) chased any of the names for related news items, but that is something people might want to try...

Number is up due to illegals. Pretty clear from missing children names in alerts. The number missing is not out of line otherwise. This is much addressed by Iowa officials because of kook claims on blogs.

A 20 year old is an adult, not a child.

My grandma had her first child at 18 during wwii.

Journalists are idiots.

I was hoping that maybe, as George Bush used to say, all “the little brown ones” had been packed up and shipped south to mama and popi.

Dig a little deeper.

The actual names and info provided does not support that claim, as far as I can tell.

“Vanished” is just blogger and Facebook nonsense. In two weeks, it would be expected to receive reports of 168 “missing” juveniles.

For those who might not be math impaired, “The Iowa Department of Public Safety has released a statement clarifying the issue. It notes that last year alone, 4,311 juveniles were reported missing to The Missing Person Information Clearinghouse.”

“This is an average of approximately 12 juveniles a day,” the agency said in a press release. “The vast majority of which are found or returned home within 24 hours.”

http://www.kcci.com/article/authorities-address-growing-concerns-over-missing-children-in-iowa/22575366

https://cbs2iowa.com/news/local/iowa-dps-no-uptick-in-missing-children

I downloaded the data from the Iowa state database, using only entries with entry dates up to three years back.

Most cases do seem to get cleared in time.

The number of cases for all of July to date is not vastly different that June, or May (summertime??).

However, there is one factor which seems be an anomolie.

The city of Davenport has all by itself 20% of the cases on the whole list and 20% of the cases for 2018. Davenport is about half the size of Des Moines, and is reporting way more missing cases than any other city its size. If I were state authorities, I’d be asking why are the figures in Davenport so high; like what’s going on in Davenport.

There are some that care about blog click bait, there should be a brigade that pounds any thread where the ‘who what when where why and how’ isn’t attended to clearly in the excerpt or first post.

It’s hard for me to imagine someone looking back from the year 2050 and thinking that the rise of the 24 hour news cycle was this great thing for society.

All over the state, by major highways and the interstates.

Some are recovered. Often the non custodial parent takes them. Many are not. Often assumed to be runaways.

But there is a pattern, and lots of evidence pointing to sex trafficking.
