WE care. We’re (humans) are going to colonize it some day and we want it to have what needs to make it habitable to US HUMANS—and our pets, livestock ,and other Earth life we want to be with us.
It is within the spirit of conservatism to explore, exploit and conquer new territories to optain life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
Water is basic for humans. Water means that it can be easily broken down into O2 and H. The hydrogen can be used as rocket fuel, and the Oxygen for breathing.
It means that the weight used in a vehicle for fuel to go to Mars was just cut in half.
If you are interested in exploring our solar system, this is a BIG deal.
