My theory is that Rosenstein is willing to play the ‘bad’ guy in this slow rollout strategy.

Now that Meadows & Jordan threatening to impeach him has ‘scared’ Rosenstein into action, you’ll see a lot of documents suddenly being produced and a lot of redactions being removed.
If my ‘slow rollout’ theory is correct, after months of threatening Rosenstein with impeachment, the time finally arrived to hit him with an actual impeachment bill in the House. Now Rosenstein can do his part & play scared & suddenly cough up everything.
This will actually PREVENT Trump from having to take the step himself of declassifying everything. He gets to stay out of it, and DNC Media doesn’t get to attack him for ‘interfering’ with the DOJ/FBI.
Also there is another aspect to this that people need to consider: it could be this is 100% real and Congress members really ARE pissed at Rosenstein because he won’t give them documents & won’t allow redactions *at this time*.

You *just had* the Carter Page FISA warrant released that demonstrates top FBI/DOJ officials made material misrepresentations to the FISA Court about the Steele Dossier.
There is no way to sugarcoat what happened here. The law was broken multiple times.
Top DOJ/FBI officials hid where the dossier came from and passed it off to the FISA court as being an intelligence product.
Those are not minor crimes. They are VERY SERIOUS.
A lot of people expect Horowitz’s report on this to be just like the Clinton email report.
Here’s why they’re wrong: in the Clinton report, Horowitz was limited to asking if *bias affected decisions made in an investigation that had ended already*.
He *doesn’t* have those limitations here. He’s not asking himself “Did bias cause them to lie to the FISA Court?”
It’s popular in some circles right now to get around the fact a big team of US attorney’s under John Huber is working in tandem with DOJ IG Horowitz by saying “I talked to sources and they told me Huber is doing NOTHING.”
You know what would’ve happened if TV pundits, radio hosts & bloggers contacted sources inside the office of the US attorney that was working on the leak hunt inside the US Senate for over a year that ended up indicting James Wolfe?
They’d have been told “Nothing’s happening.”
There are serious people doing serious work into serious crimes.
TV pundits/radio hosts/bloggers who think they are ‘inner circle’ with sources who will blow a years-long counter intelligence/federal investigation wide open by leaking to them are delusional.
THESE PEOPLE DON’T LEAK.
How many times do I have to say it?
If you try to get them to talk, you are gonna get the same disinformation everyone else gets, no matter HOW special you think you are.
If Horowitz found evidence of major crimes and violations of the law in this FISA Court investigation, he will have handed that off to Huber & his team of US attorneys.
And no, they aren’t gonna tell you SH*T about this no matter how politely you ask.
So here’s *another* reason Rod Rosenstein can’t hand this stuff over: he has to wait until he *gets the green light from Horowitz and Huber*.
Again, he’s playing the role of the ‘bad guy’ so these people can do their jobs.
Congress leaks like a sieve. We all know this. If Horowitz & Huber want to protect the evidence for the cases they are building against these plotters, then Rosenstein’s job is to keep that evidence away from Congress until he gets the green light.
Now are you ready for this? Let me bring up yet a THIRD aspect of this many people have forgotten: there are real, serious leak hunts going on that span the entire breadth of the federal gov’t. We’re talking DOJ/FBI/State Department & all the intel agencies.
These very serious leak hunts include - GASP! - *members of the US Congress!
That’s right, people! Senators in the Senate and House Reps in the House and some of the staff in these oversight committees are under investigation for criminal leaking of classified information.
So please. KEEP ALL THIS IN MIND as you watch this public drama unfold between the Oversight committees in Congress and Rod Rosenstein.
Some if it might be theater. Some of it might be quite real. Whatever is happening behind the scenes, all signs point to real movement.
Rosenstein *might* be a real bad guy. He might also be *playing a necessary role he’s been asked to play*.

You left one important thing out about Rosenstein, his wife.
Rosenstein is deeply connected to the Clinton cult in DC.
For Rosenstein to cough up documents would mean the destruction of his social status and network in government and around DC. No matter what pressure is put on him, he will be seen as a traitor by the Clinton cult if he coughs up those documents. His marriage could be at risk as well.
What you are implying is that Rosenstein wants to save his job. But that is never going to happen.
He will step down, resign.
The Mocking Birds will crow for a week how Trump is interfering with the investigation. What they will wail about won’t be true, but truth has never meant anything to these people.
