Understood. And of course the usual 747 can pull up to a suitable terminal gate, there are hundreds of them. Avoiding the terminal gates is a protocol-driven choice, not an airframe-driven choice.

Plus, my understanding is any plane that contains POTUS not only can be, but is designated AF-1.
