The character being cast is based on Dream Girl, a member of the 31st Century Legion of Superheroes. While the character is indeed a woman, she was most decidedly not transgendered.

Right, because there's such a huge demand by the TV audience for a "transgender superhero". Conservatives gave up Hollywood in the '60s and '70s without a fight - it's now the playground of extreme leftists, who insist on foisting this nonsense on the American viewer regardless of the lack of demand or interest.
