It’s very confusing, since there are no hard and fast rules.
Being in the Bay Area, I read about many local situations that involve Transexual people. Sometimes I have met them in regular public life i.e. employees at a local grocery store that I won’t name or at restaurants.
I get the impression that each and every person of that mindset makes their own rules of expectation.
From appearances, some are content to live in an asexual manner, not seeking a partner at all, but content to be known by some specific and preferred gender. Older Trans people seem more inclined to make the changes just to please themselves. Sort of like face lifts and tummy tucks for the average person. Some have left straight marriages or partnerships and want to replace the one left behind in their old life. Many times they discover that simply is not possible. One will need to adjust what is realistically expected, otherwise another type of deep depression and frustration becomes their new normal.
Conservatives and moral actors and actresses should have abandoned Hollywood and started their own media outlet loooooooong ago! They tried to survive in the cesspool. Just look how many young minds have been tainted through it all. . .not to mention another bastion of perversion. . . Disney.
When the latest season of this came out on Netflix then I started watching it for a few episodes. The story line was so bad that it could not be followed. Then the Lesbian stuff started in. That was the whole plot as far as I could tell. I stopped playing it and decided to never watch the show ever again.

that’s the thrill that some of them seek. They go on dating sites and otherwise present themselves under false pretense. And they know there may be a risk of violent reprisal and some get a thrill from that too.
Their claims of not having any attraction or desires towards straight people is a lie.
And there are women who present themselves as males and try to seduce women/girls too.

there is no other media outlet. tens of thousands of music and video (there is no “film” industry anymore) producers/creators trying to reach the market without going through Hollywood/NYC corporations (which own the media that puts product in stores, runs the magazines that promote and tracks who you “should” hear/buy, and runs the movie and tv companies place music in programming as background or featured guests).
You can operate outside of that “big media” circus but you’ll be playing to dozens instead of thousands. Your movie or series will be marginalized too.
Recently “Drake” bought a platinum release status (ahead of any album or track sale) by flooding the channel on Spotify as the top recommended artist in EVERY category including Tuvan Throatsinging Polka. Spotify sold them the ranking.
You get the illusion of choice but they still pull the strings on what content reaches the public.
Their monopoly will never be busted up.
