The problem was that Roe v Wade wasn’t ‘passed’. It was a ‘right’ discovered by the SC hiding in the penumbra of a right to privacy. Had it been passed by a legislature, we could and would argue that it was a bad law and try to reverse it. If most people agreed with us, the law would be repealed. But it was imposed on us by an unelected body. And even though the court’s decision did allow for restrictions, we are now told that no restrictions can be imposed on abortions by the same people who claim that the 2nd amendment does not mean what it clearly says.
