Psychologists have determined that the display of the flag of the United States makes most Americans, if not Democrats, have greater feelings of patriotism, for as long as two weeks.
And that these feelings of patriotism improve most Americans opinions toward the Republican party and conservatism. Democrats get no, zero advantage with the display of the flag or feelings of patriotism.
Therefore, it would be very advantageous for Republicans and conservatives to display the flag in the days leading up to both the absentee ballot submission and election day itself.
It could very well both change the outcome of close elections, as well as increase the margin of victory for Republicans and conservatives, which will be referred to in the future for allocating election resources.
