44% after the ICE meanies with the swastika tatts snatched nursing babies from their mothers’ breasts isn’t too bad. (Yes, that internet story was just another lie that the Left promoted online and the head of the Border Patrol debunked on Fox News a month ago.)

But look at who he ran against. Almost as bad as McGovern.

“Ronald Reagan was DEAD in the polls at this time in 1983. How’d that 1984 election work out for the Dems?”

I was just going to say that!

“Things got worse for Reagan in 1982. The public’s view of the economy remained sour, and the president’s ratings during 1982 stayed concomitantly low, in the 40% range, ending the year at 41%. The 1982 midterm elections were not good ones for Reagan and for the GOP. The Republicans lost about 25 seats in the House.

A clear cause for all of this was the economy. Still, Gallup analysts at the time presciently noted that there was some cause for optimism for Reagan:

Throughout the year [1982] a solid majority of Gallup’s respondents have taken the position that Reaganomics will worsen, rather than improve, their own financial situation. Yet, Gallup consistently has found somewhat more public faith that Reaganomics will help the nation as a whole and even more faith in the president’s program when the question is posed with regard to the long run. Surveys also indicate that the public has more confidence in Reagan than approval ratings of his performance would suggest. While only one third approve of the way he is handling the economy, close to half express some degree of confidence that he will do the right thing with regard to the economy.

Indeed, although 1983 began for Reagan with a 35% job approval rating — the worst of his administration — things started to look better.

His ratings moved back above 50% by November 1983 — not only because the economy was picking up, but also in part as a result of rally effects associated with the U.S. invasion of Grenada and the terrorist explosion that killed 241 American Marines in Beirut, Lebanon.”

Polls are often inaccurate, but Trump had been way up in Rasmussen, and no one was complaining about manipulation. Media is going crazy trying to take Trump down, but he gave them some ammo with the Putin talk. He should have been more careful in his wording.

Trump needs to hit the heartland with some rallies no matter what the polling numbers. That’s where he gets energized

It is long, long past time to start releasing all the DOJ and FBI documents related to the Russian Collusion hoax.

You need to get on this TODAY, Mr. President.

You are the Chief Executive Officer of the DOJ and FBI.

You have personal access to the entire database.

Start reading and start releasing the documents - TODAY.

If you don’t, the Political Left is going to burn your administration and the Republican Party to the ground.

The way Trump, and his supporters, are completely demonized these days would make anyone a little hesitant about admitting their support. It’s basically the same phenomenon we saw in Fall 2016, except now the demonizing is much worse.

So, when you consider that, plus the statistical games that every Trump-hating organization (and there’s lots) now plays - it’s probably safe to add 10-15% to Trump’s supposed support in any major poll these days.

The real poll, of course, will be in November.

The polls are about emotions, not thought. Emotions change with the wind. The blast of crap on the media over Trump/Putin is enough to make the numbers go down.

the numbers reported in this article are Strongly Approves (31%) and Strongly Disapproves (46%) not total approval and total disapprove. That doesn’t tell much except that the Trump Haters are enjoying an uptick, not surprising given the nonsense reported by the press over that past few days. The Deep State still believe that they can get rid of Trump.
