MOSCOW The Russian Internet company Yandex said Thursday that its public search engine has been turning up dozens of Google documents that appear meant for private use, suggesting there may have been a data breach. Yandex spokesman Ilya Grabovsky said that some Internet users contacted the company Wednesday to say that its public search engine was yielding what looked like personal Google files. Russian social media users started posting scores of such documents, including an internal memo from a Russian bank, press summaries and company business plans.
Grabovsky said Yandex has alerted Google to the concerns.
It was unclear whether the files were meant to be publicly viewable by their authors and how many there were. Google did not comment.
Grabovsky said that a Yandex search only yields files that don't require logins or passwords. He added that the files were also turning up in other search engines.
Ooops
OMG! Google - Yandex collusion ——— Who knew!
Thank you, Yandex.
Yes, good deed byYandex. Privacy and Security are not Googles strong suits.
Sooner or later. My condolences to those who use Google or the cloud (logically the same thing) to store sensitive stuff.
Quick! Did they find any of Hillary’s bleach-bitted emails?
Dont
Use
google.
Google is simultaneously the greatest censor the world has ever known and the greatest privacy snoop.
Is this real or is it “fake Memorex”?
Remember, the Soviets/Russians are masters of “disinformation” and “diversion”.
Never trust a Russian bear unless it is dead, very dead!
Store your private, most personal, sensitive stuff in a cloud. What could possibly go wrong?
So much for “cloud computing”...
That was a public service the Russian company provided.
Thank you, Yandex.

The neocons will doubtless call this an act of war. A harpy will shriek in the UN.
