The Los Angeles Police Department has released footage of a dangerous car chase - showing the moment a known gang member used a shotgun to shoot at officers who were chasing his car.
The incident happened late the night of May 20 in the Highland Park neighborhood.
Two officers were following a white Honda Civic when suddenly the driver sped up and tried to ditch the squad car that was trailing them.
Soon, the passenger of the vehicle was seen shooting at the cop car with a sawed-off shot gun.
