The greatest rebranding in history was reinventing the Nazis as "right wing." It was done because they had damaged the socialist brand. Then, the communists fell in the 90's and that became bad. That's when we ended up with a bunch of euphemisms for socialist and communist...they became "progressives." They have control of the language and therefore control of the narrative.
