My teacher taught us the planet was called U-rain-ne-us, likely to avoid that.
I still pronounce it like that.
I’ve heard that it’s supposed to be pronounced “you’re a niss.”
I don’t know what a niss is so I don’t know if that’s a compliment or an insult.
