She was French, not Canadian. She was caught in the US. She wanted to go back to Canada. Too many countries involved. Not sure any of the governments really cared on this one.

Pretty cavalier about ID too, for a person on the wrong continent.
Probably one of those self-imagined “citizens of the world”. Doesn’t work in real life.
Also if she acted like a jerk then I am sure the police took an extra amount of time to process her paperwork and contact the proper agencies. Police and medical staff say they never treat a rude person differently, but we know they all do within the confines of the law and policy.
