Johnny Depp has confirmed that he does use an earpiece when acting on set. The Hollywood actor is currently in a legal battle with his ex-managers, Joel and Robert Mandel of The Management Group (TMG), who he has accused of mishandling his finances and causing him to rack up more than $40 million in debt. The Mandel brothers have responded with a countersuit, with one allegation made in a lawsuit filed in May 2017 alleging that Depp paid hundreds of dollars to employ a sound engineer to feed him his lines through an earpiece so he doesn't have to memorize scripts. The Pirates of the Caribbean star has now explained that he does sometimes use an earpiece to help him act "with just his eyes".

My crystal ball is picking up a hazy image of Depp, a doorknob and a necktie.
He is apparently working on a movie and he is playing a terminally ill professor. I do not doubt he is losing weight to look the part. Most likely in a safe way.
Depp is great so it doesn’t appear the ear piece thing is an actual issue. It’s not like he’s Hillary Clinton on the debate stage.

NO...not HUNDREDS of dollars!!! What a WASTE!!
Doesn’t come close to the $40Million Depp is claiming was mismanaged.
I know he bought an island and has a $30K/mo wine habit....but to claim Depp squandered HUNDREDS of DOLLARS on a sound engineer doesn’t sound too profound.

It is possible the weight loss is a result of his role in Richard Says Goodbye, where Depp plays the titular character who decides to live life to the fullest after doctors diagnose him with a terminal illness.

I ran across that picture the other day, and had to do a double take myself. LOL!! But then you see other pictures of him playing with his band and he looks very different, I must admit. So perhaps there is something to that suggest. 8>)
What about Obama’s use of earpieces?
