Saw the mall driving/demolition derby scene the other night. Laughed my butt off.

One of the cops was a “Deep Throat” in the “X-Files”. Believe his last name was Williams.

This scene gave birth to the concept of “Mall drive-in shopping”.

I went to college with a guy. In the summer he had a job collecting garbage in Chicago. In the big chase scene and they are in the underground section they drive by a dumpster.

Every time we would watch the movie - “Hey - there’s my dumpster! I picked that up every Thursday!!”

My kids have watched the BB a few times. I mentioned “Animal House” to them today and they didn’t know what I was talking about. IMHO it doesn’t begin to compare to BB, but still something they should watch.

Titanic...I won’t even watch it for free when it’s on The Dish. Such tripe. I’ve seen and been very interested in documentaries about The Titanic, but that has to be one of the most over-rated movies of all time.

The old movie,”A Night to Remember” was much better-—it still puzzles me that “Titanic” won so many awards.

Me too.
I must have tried to watch Titanic for free on the Dish but couldn’t get past very many minutes before hurling. I’ll take The Blues Brothers.

Saw Cab Calloway at Disneyland way back when. Got his signature on his autobiography.

Well, thank you, pal. The day I get out of prison, my own brother picks me up in a police car.
It's got a cop motor, a four hundred and forty cubic inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters, so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say? Is it the new Bluesmobile or what? Fix the cigarette lighter.

I’ve actually driven through a couple of malls. They don’t let regular folk do that anymore. Too many liability problems.

It was for car shows way back. Had my Mustang in a couple of shows.

Of course, the music is great and the highlight of the movie, but the dialog is so great too. I love it when Jake and Elwood are trying to escape under the tunnel and run into Carrie Fisher who’s threatening them with a machine gun. Jake fakes her out with excuses of why he stood her up at their wedding, gives her a big kiss, and then drops her in the mud and says, “Let’s go!”

I remember that scene and how he approaches her and finally takes of his dark glasses to give her his irresistible look and she falls for him. The whole movie is a gem. Can’t wait to see it again.
