"In terms of the share of children under age 18 living with immigrant parents, the top five states in 2016 were California (49 percent of all children in the state), Nevada and New Jersey (39 percent each), New York (38 percent), and Texas (35 percent)."

https://www.migrationpolicy.org/article/frequently-requested-statistics-immigrants-and-immigration-united-states

About half of California school property taxes and about 40% of really expensive New Jersey/New York school property taxes go to pay for the education of the children of immigrants.

"part of the group of 340,000 babies born to undocumented immigrants in 2008 -- about 7.9 percent of all children born that year."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/08/20/how-many-children-born-to-undocumented-immigrants-are-there-in-the-u-s/

"About 295,000 babies were born to unauthorized-immigrant parents in 2013, making up 8% of the 3.9 million U.S. births that year, according to a new, preliminary Pew Research Center estimate based on the latest available federal government data. This was a decline from a peak of 370,000 in 2007."

Lettuce is actually very easy to grow from seed if the weather isn’t too hot or too cold.

I grow mine in my neighbors’ garden.

Growing your own lettuce has the big advantage that it is truly fresh.

Still can’t convince people of the true cost of the illegal invasion.

The cost in dollars is significant, but is dwarfed by the social and cultural costs we endure.

If this goes on unabated for much longer, we’ve lost the country for good.

Fallacy that this immigrants are in the fields picking fruits and veggies that Americans won’t pick.

There NEVER was nor will there ever be THAT many fields of watermelons or orange groves.

33 million illegals+? Where are these patches?

I’d post a photo of GWB handling boxes of romaine but GettyImages controls them like the borg.

According to the Washington State University it costs $0.18 per head to pick lettuce. That means you could double wages and the cost would be $.36 per head. That is not an earth shattering increase for a DOUBLING of wages. At double wages Americans would pick all of that lettuce.

Not sure what that is.

I don’t use nightsoil, but do compost.

Mine isn't. I grow my own all year round with staggered plantings under grow lights. Thinking of migrating to hydroponics.
