I've been a fan of Star Wars from the start. I was only four when the first movie came out, but I remember getting a watch with C-3PO and R2-D2 on it for Christmas in 1977. It's still the most memorable gift from my childhood.
I have vivid memories of going to see the original trilogy, both in the original runs and in re-releases. I suffered through the prequels. And my siblings and I have introduced Star Wars love to a new generation through the new films and Disney World visits.

I saw a few minutes of the latest Star Wars installment.. and I’m a fan.
I just won’t spend money on these clowns anymore. I wait for it to come to the library. Which is why I only caught a few minutes of it.
The newest one is just AWFUL !
People enjoy movies, especially sci-fi &fantasy, to escape reality and be entertained.
Liberals f-up everything good they touch.
Who didnt think that Disney was going to drive the franchise to death? Its what they do...
Maybe. But I sure am sick of SJW Wars.
No, Social Justice.
Not me. Haven’t seen one since 1979 or so.
My god, YES!!!
Not just with the crappy movies they’re putting out, but with the over-saturation of SW-branded merchandise.
Everywhere you look there’s a Star Wars model or version of EVERYTHING!!!!
I grew up in the 80’s when the original films were popular and there wasn’t even a FRACTION of in-your-face promotion as there is now.

Groupthink has destroyed imagination and people can no longer come up with new ideas.
That is why most things are remakes with actors of lesser talent, more graphics, and spoiled with PC hogwash.
Nope, not interested.
I’ve yet to make it all the way through “ The Force Awakens”
Whiny ass black dude ruins it for me along with octogenarian Hans trying to do the fight scenes
Every Star Wars after the trilogy has been CARP. Terrible acting and writing with the exception of Darth Maul who lasted maybe 10 minutes. If you want to know why the last few movies have had problems its because they 1) Defecated on then killed all of the fan favorite characters (almost all male), and 2) went full girl power SJW.
They fail to see how much Mark Hamill’s FU to conservatives affected the franchise.
He ‘kapernick’ed it.
I have seen the latest Star Wars movies. When the first (The Force Awakens) came out, I was excited because it went back to the old movie making that the prequels had replaced with cartoon CGI.
Then, when I started to focusing on the storytelling being conveyed, I quickly lost interest. The one theme that is being pounded and pounded aaaaaaaaand pounded into our heads is that the Galaxy Far Far Away was totally screwed up by men and it takes a constant dose of girl power to fix it.
Star Wars met the sisterhood of the traveling pants and shit went sideways for the franchise.
It’s not Star Wars fatigue, it’s social justice warrior fatigue.

Don’t forget in TFA the black guy and Poe were supposed to be gay for each other and Darth Vader’s grandson is an emo whiny p*ssy.
No fatigue here. I just don’t care to watch liberal crap.
For the record, I saw the first Star Wars 27 times in the theater. It was the most amazing movie I’d ever seen...
I don’t do movie theaters any more. I have a nice 4k set and good sound system.
I’ve been reading all the Star Wars bashing and, frankly, after the prequels (which were terrible), I understand. However, I really enjoyed The Force Awakens. On a lark in Costco, I purchased Rouge One on Blue Ray. I love the story.
So, two days ago I finally rented The Last Jedi at redbox on BlueRay. I thought the story was brilliant, but it did have a bit of a misandrist message. I always crack up when military leaders are women in movies. There may be one in a thousand, but when virtually the entire chain of command is female, well, it inspires a chuckle.
But I’m not afraid of the feminist nonsense and think they are cute when they’re mad. And if a story is well told, it’s easy for me to suspend disbelief. I can imaging all those creatures and faster than light transport, etc., I can imagine a universe where women are like men.
In the end, it’s all just fantasy - especially the “women as the real military leaders and tough guys” meme.
People want good movies without politics and without the powers that be insulting the fans.
They have 1 story and just change the Names and Places
