you do realize that the royal family has zero political power in the UK, don’t you?
they couldn’t have done anything to stop what has happened even if they had a mind to do so.
Technically by law the Queen could dissolve parliament and order the military to take control of the government. Remember the military takes an oath to serve the Crown not the Prime Minister or Country.
