Justifys emergence as the only undefeated Triple Crown champion after Seattle Slew and the 13th horse overall to complete the rare sweep went from a feel-good story to one awash in controversy on Sunday.
Queens native Mike Repole, co-owner of fourth-place Vino Rosso and last-place Noble Indy in the field of 10, hopes Belmont Park stewards will question jockey Florent Geroux about his handling of Restoring Hope, Justifys stablemate, for Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert.

If Soros was involved, you can bet there was.
Yes indeed -you are correct;)!! Wonder if he is also part owner of the other horse?
Will keep checking - good catch Mr. K.

...New York Gaming Commission steward Steve Lewandoski told the Daily Racing Form that there is no plan to talk to Geroux...
...It’s not unusual for horses from the same stables to help each other in a race.
To that end, Repole was not happy with his own jockey, Javier Castellanos, who was aboard Noble Indy and was expected to push to the lead, possibly wearing down Justify for a late run by Vino Rosso...
I'm pretty sure this is dead wrong.
I think there have been rules that horses from one team should not race together. For this reason.
Is Mike Repole the Hillary Clinton of horse racing?
This was addressed by t he commentators on NBC. They said what happened was perfectly legal and it happens all the time.
This wop from Queens sounds like sour grapes.
You mean an entire sport that is based on gambling may be corrupt?
On a scale of 1 to 10 in importance this ranks maybe .001.
Collusion?
Why owners and anyone else with any interest at all in the outcome should only be allowed only one entry per race.
Otherwise you will end up with NASCAR style team racing that has altered and clouded the pure competitiveness of the race.
Mike Repole owns Noble Indy and Vino Russo, both of whom were in the race.
Yep!
I wonder how many jockeys have held horses back to increase their odds in a future race. How many have hidden adrenaline somewhere on their body so the horse gets a little oomph on the front stretch.
And neither of those 2 horses had any type of chance against a true champion, Justify.
Either could run 100 races against him and lose every single one.
Watch the race. No horse was boxed in. Poor loser.
That’s probably why this story will go nowhere.
Something at the end of the race might draw official attention, but early on, “it’s just racin’”.
Horse racing is a shady business to start with. The Triple Crown is just a nostalgia thing.
Fakenews. The loser is a Hillary supporter.
Tradin' paint... uh, er, horse hair?
