Yeah, whatever. The kid in question here though, obviously had more problems than ‘addiction’ to playing. It sounds like they were spoiled and didn’t care about their schooling. The parent’s failed again and can’t control her... so they stick the government or private medical facility with helping her.

The actual rules of Monopoly are to set a time limit and total all assets when that time limit is reached. Nobody plays that way though, which is why so many people hate Monopoly, playing until only 1 player isn’t bankrupt takes forever and is boring.
