Cheap, but insurance may be pricey.

“...scientists reveal they have NO IDEA when eruptions will end...”

Is that the same crowd selling us global warming?

Yeah, in about 4,000 to 40,000 years, it will be worth something!

No, the current property owners simply have more land between their original homestead and the waterfront.

Note the best, detailed articles are from UK, not US. Sad we have no journalism lately.

“A mile of new land”. Is that a square mile or a mile long and fifty feet wide?

If page went there once it can go again. Is it really smart to build homes on volcanoes.

Here in California we worry about earthquakes and the new shoreline will be Barstow. Well Hawaii has the reverse problem. What used to be shoreline property is now Barstow.

It's no wonder that the ocean is rising.

Lava causes both high temps and high water, and it is our fault because of my lawn mover.

“The mile of new land in Kapoho Bay is now owned by the state”

Screw that. I’d be checking my deed to see if it says things like “bounded by the shore...”.

This is getting dangerous. The whole island could tip over with the extra weight on one side.

It’s worthless.

Totally, 100% worthless.

Same with the new acreage produced by Pu’u O’o in Kalapana. Useless. Takes a few hundred years to develop soil with plants growing. Plus the new stuff is right at sea level.
