The devil is in the details. The baker didn't refuse to sell a cake to two Gay guys; he refused to bake a Gay-themed cake the way the Gay guys wanted. What that was I don't know. There may have been a message on the cake that went against the bakers religious beliefs or maybe it was two men on top kissing. I looked but can't find that particular info.
Bottom line is the Gay guys could have bought any cake in the place. What they wanted was something different. There were other bakers in the area that didn't have a problem with it so these Gay guys went out there way to make a political statement and example of this baker.
I'm glad it backfired. I just wish the Gay guys had to pay all the legal bills and lost income for the baker. Maybe they will in a civil suit.

I don’t see this as a religion thing. If you don’t want to put something on a cake, it should be OK to say “no” no matter if it is religious or not.
