Which language and what slangs to be included?
By increasing automation, McDonald’s is increasing the productivity of those employees it has—which will increase their earning power.
Are you a Luddite?
Let me know when those big raises go out.
Take along one of the little styluses (styli?) used with an ipad.
So is touching a door handle or elevator call button in any office building. Best not to think about it too much, and just carry some hand sanitizer.
Kick the illegals out of the country and they will go out much faster.
Just grab a napkin and push hard!
Plus, I would think they’d have a sound option intended for the blind?
Languages and slangs other than English have to use the touchscreen.
I don’t go to McD’s because I Don’t want to appear on WorldStarHipHop being beaten senseless because I complained about a ghetto person spitting on my child.
Yes they’ll get it worked out and already have experience with this change. They
announced the concept back in 2016.

McDonalds announced that it would roll out digital self-order kiosks and table
service in all of its 14,000 U.S. stores. Customers will be able to order at touch
screens and then pick up a number with a digital locator, which will allow employees
to serve them at their tables. Next year customers will also be able to order and pay
on the companys mobile app, which has 16 million downloads.
Right now kiosks and table service are available in 500 McDonalds restaurants in
Southern California, New York, and Florida. Next up are Boston, Washington D.C.,
Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco. Incoming U.S. president Chris Kempczinski
said choosing those cities was very purposeful since they are trendsetting markets.

If you want to pay cash you order at the kiosk which prints an order. Take that to the counter and pay cash.
I refuse to self—order-—I still wait for a human.
.
thank you. I’ve yet to encounter a MickeyD kiosk as I seldom go in, I just do drive-thru.
Yes, there is a local McDonalds where I live and they consistently get the order wrong. One time I got a bunch of meals and they forget to give me the fries. Or they forgot I special ordered the cheeseburger for my 5 year old son who has a fit when there is mustard on it. Of course I don’t realize the mistakes until we are halfway home. I told them once they got my order the “other day” wrong and I want my fries now, and they told me I should have come back on that day. My life is too busy to waste half an hour because they got my order wrong.
I really don’t care much for McDonalds but I prefer the change of using labor from ordering to serving your order. So I order at the kiosk and then have them deliver my food to me and my kids with the locator.
Well here in Canada things are always more expensive. But McDonalds is out of hand. So a Quarter Pounder meal is basically $10.00. My sister introduced me to FatBurger across the street. For $13.00 I get a drink fries and a burger that is 10 times tastier than the cardboard wafer from McDonalds.
I understand where you are coming from, but having a family of 6, it makes things simpler. I just get the boys and girls select their own orders. Way less stressful to have them yelling at my ear what they want and then trying to remember it for the clerk.
That’s a great idea.
I refuse to use the damn things.
It takes seven minutes for the millenial behind the counter to parse out corned beef, rye, mustard, get it wrong six times on the register, roll their eyes, call their manager over, act like they’re being heavily put upon and eventually enter your order wrong.
Screw them. Kiosks are the future because of that.
I used to take the kids’ orders in the car, before we went in.
