Meghan McCain on Wednesday blasted President Trump while praising ABC's decision to cancel the sitcom "Roseanne," saying that the network "holds a higher standard to their employees than apparently the White House does.”
McCain made her comments on "The View" a day after ABC canceled "Roseanne." The network made the decision after the show's star Roseanne Barr sent a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a former aide to President Obama.
"I’ve been so disheartened by what’s acceptable in the world right now, what’s acceptable in the White House," McCain said. "It’s refreshing to see someone take a stand and say 'No, not at ABC. Not at this company. This is not acceptable rhetoric.' "

Not for nothing, but just kind of a PSA from my own experience lately:
I’m convinced that you’ll drive yourself crazy following the news and what these morons they put on tv say every day. I’m not completely disengaged - I’m still here occasionally, but I gave up Twitter and watching TV and spending my time doing other productive things. I feel a LOT better.
Tv has really become a sounding board for deranged idiots. These are not people worth watching or caring about what they have to say. You wouldn’t concern yourself with the words of some lunatic on the corner spouting gibberish, and I’m convinced the only real difference in most cases is a shower and tv makeup.
These people don’t have any meaningful sway over public opinion anymore, and as they increasingly realize this, the more prone they are to spouting more inanities to get you to notice them. So don’t.
