Friday, at a softball game in Fresno, an announced stated they wouldn’t be playing the National Anthem before Clovis High and Buchanan High played for the Central Section championship.
According to the Fresno Bee, the announcer said “There will be no anthem, let’s just play softball.”
On the weekend we pay our ultimate respect to those who have sacrificed everything for our freedom, the crowd wasn’t happy with the announcement.
The Fresno Bee reported:
Following a loud chorus of boos, the patriotic crowd stood up and began singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” a cappella.
Many removed their hats and placed their hands over their hearts. Others simply stood tall with pride.
Players stopped their pregame warmups to turn around and face the American flag that waved beyond the center-field wall.
When the song was over, the crowd burst into a round of applause.

They saw how well it worked for the NFL so they thought they should do it to?
I am grateful that there are still enough patriots out there willing to stand up and sing it.

This was such a stupid decision to not play the national anthem on memorial day weekend it almost sounds like a setup, or there is a legit reason (like they didn’t have the sound track or the singer cancelled).
But it probably was some dumbass liberal that was pissed about memorial day and the NFL anthem issues he/she/it decided to not play it.
California rapidly going the way of socialist Cuba. When established patriotic norms are discarded (must be one of Alinsky’s rules), the replacement regime will allow no disrespect by its subjects that might dishonor rules imposed by the the new state.

Don’t forget school boards and Superintendent’s offices. The public schools have some of the most anti-American Liberals as anywhere else. Then there are the colleges and universities where Marxists thrive and spew their propaganda and Liberal brainwashing until we out them and refuse to pay for their garbage “supposed” education.

The way these aholes are going, it’s like one day they will actually ban our flag and our anthem. And tell the soldiers they are fighting for equality all over the solar system, and to lay down those nasty instruments of war.
I don’t know about his not clapping, but it could be that at his age his arthritis made it too hard for him to stand.

In Tucson, Arizona yesterday, at Mass, the Church Choir sang America the Beautiful. Hardly any of the congrgation sang along. Diversity City. Welcoming immigrants city.
