Without even discussing Gowdy, dramatic action by Congress requires the Speaker of the House and majority party leadership. Pinning inaction on criminal matters any one committee chair is just ignorant.

You know, all those years he was a SUB-committee chair under Boehner, I cut him some slack. But then he became a full committee chair and I said, now let’s see.

He has continued to be a disappointment while others have done much more.

Using power in Congress is a tough art. The Congress has abdicated its power in the last 70 years. Gowdy has been part of that problem, not a solution.
