The Greeks, as a group, intermarry less than the Jews, wife beating is quite common. The boys are unbelievably spoiled and feel women should fall at their feet.
When I was a teenager, the local barber was a mid aged Greek man who personified the things mentioned in your post. He would often start in on me asking why a good looking young boy like myself did not have a girlfriend (I did not date in high school) and would make rude and embarrassing comments as such.
He and his remarks were among the things that made the high school dating and social scene during those heady days in the 1980s seem as appealing to me as doing the outdoor walk at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto.
