Thats why theyve been bred for hundreds of years; they do not need to be trained to do this; it is what they do.”
Our mini doxie absolutely loves to hunt mice. If he’s allowed in our outbuildings, he runs in, finds a mouse, snaps it’s neck, drops it, then repeats. We won’t let him dig, though. Surprisingly, he “allowed” my husband to train him not to dig. (Just like he “allows” us to pretend we’re the boss.)
