Disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner handed his electronic devices over to a private investigations firm based in Manhattan as the federal probe into his sexting with a minor was heating up in 2016, newly unsealed federal court documents show.
A 2016 search warrant for Weiner’s devices was unsealed in Manhattan federal court Thursday along with an attachment describing the parameters of the search into Weiner’s communications with minors.
The warrant, signed on Sept. 26, 2016, ordered FBI agents to search three of Weiner’s devices, an iPhone, an iPad and a laptop computer — all of which had been “transferred” by Weiner to Granite Intelligence, based in midtown Manhattan, three days earlier, according to the papers.
Granite Security’s motto is “Committed to resolving our clients’ problems with intelligence, integrity and discretion,” according to its website.
Granite partner R. David McDonough did not immediately return a request for comment.
Weiner’s lawyer, Arlo Devlin-Brown, also did not immediately return a request for comment.

Looks to me like it went down as follows:
Weiner discovers he is under investigation.
Takes his devices to his lawyer.
Weiner and the lawyer discuss the fact that 650,000 Hillary emails are on the devices, including US classified state dept business, dirt on Hillary, Bill, Lolita island, various dem congressmen, pay for play, etc.
The lawyer insists that the devices be taken custody of by someone with appropriate US security clearances to possess it: Granite Security.
A joint SDNY/NYPD team are in discussions with Weiner’s lawyer and are told the devices have been placed in custody with a security firm. They get a search warrant for child porn to seize them from the security firm.
SDNY alerts McCabe that Hillary’s 650,000 emails are on this at the end of Sept. McCabe sits on it for weeks.
In late October, a frustrated NYPD through Eric Prince leaks that a cover-up is underway by DOJ.
Loretta Lynch calls SDNY with McCabe on the phone and reams the SDNY/NYPD for leaks. Threatens to prosecute NYPD leaders over the unrelated Eric Garner death, a black man who died while resisting arrest, unless they shut the f up.
They shut the f up. But McCabe ends up getting recused and Comey gets wind of the Hillary emails.
Comey had represented to Congress under oath that he would inform Congress if they had to re-open the case.
Comey is pissed at McCabe. If McCabe hadn’t sat on it, Comey could have weaseled the situation into clearing Hillary in early October.
As it is, Strzok has to read 650,000 emails in three days in order to announce that Hillary has done nothing wrong, nothing to see here. In fact, the FBI does a magical computer sort and he only actually looks at a few thousand.
All clear, Hillary! You should win 100,000,000 to zero!
Logic would dictate that a whole bunch of people at this firm were unlawfully in possession of classified material.
Too bad we are lacking an actual Attorney General.
