NOTE this filing is for a search warrant from 2016 that was sealed & reflects that when people are tallying up sealed "indictments", they really mean filings, which can be all kinds of things, including indictments, but not as many as some speculate IMO

checking statistics some notes there are about 5,800 assistant us attorneys nation wide

iirc before 2018, 170,000 MATTERS, 40,000 to 50,000 grand juries, 70,000 to 80,000 prosecutions many declined prosecutions over 90% conviction rate

25,000 sealed indictments would be enormous workload....imo

here is one year (2010)statistics, each year can have slightly different format including breakdown by areas.
