Speaker of the House is a very powerful and influential position and done right a major step stone to a presidential run, even if only a VP role and then go on from there. His retirement is a tacit admission that he has no where to go as the evidence against his dooms it from the start

Trump needs to ignore the advisers who are telling him to hold off on authorizing the release of documents from the DOJ and FBI.
On what basis can Rosenstein’s letter appointing Mueller be withheld? Same with his post-Manafort raid memo. There is something in those documents, and emails between the cabal that they must hide because they will all go to prison if they are released.
