By the time it reaches SCOTUS, Trump may have 1 or 2 new Justices.

I would give it a minimum of six months....maybe even up to twelve months....to get this to the Supremes. I do agree with you...it’s very likely one judge will be replaced by the Fall, and maybe a second in early 2019. You might even see a third by summer of 2019.

In this case...the Supremes will ask for the memo that started all of this, and it’ll end up in public by that point. For some reason, I don’t see Sessions wanting to stick around to watch this. It might be enough to force him off into retirement.

Still waiting on the Ginsburg rumors to hit mainstream. That would put the left down to 3 votes on SCOTUS and Sotomayor is not in good shape either.

SCOTUS will take it up on an expedited basis.

I think Trump is playing a slightly different game. When you make multi billion dollar deals for a living, you get pretty good at figuring out how to rattle your opponents.

Trump’s been saying all along, yeah, sure, I’d be happy to talk to Mueller. Now it’s, hey, let’s get it all in writing, ‘K?

Which leads Mueller to blast off about how HE will be the one to tell the President what to do.

Now, which one looks like the reasonable party?

The game plan:

Drag this out.
Keep Mueller off balance and frustrated.

It’s already working—JQP is sick to death of Mueller. By the time the IG’s report is released, the public will be *demanding* that Trump fire Mueller.

Adding fuel to the fire—JW has demanded a full accounting, to further infuriate the taxpayers.

SCOTUS is never the first line of defense. It’s the fall back play.
