Is it true that 1/5th of all Boy Scouts are Mormon? That seems like a very high figure. Aren’t Mormons about 1% of the population?
When I lived up near Boise Idaho, you couldn’t swing a dead cat by the tail without hitting a Morman. Many businesses were run by a corrupt group we always referred to as the “Morman Mafia”. Lots of corruption within the Morman cult.
In my district, it is more like 1/3. The LDS church has used the Boy Scouts as their youth program for quite a while now.
I think they meant the 425,000 is 1/5 but the word ordering almost makes it sound like they were talking mormons as 1/5.
It’s not that 1/5 of the Scouts are Mormon, but that 1/5 of the Scouts are in troops that are sponsored by and meet at a Mormon church.
