I do not think the word counsel adequately describes Trey Gowdy’s legal Qualities. It is much better to describe him as a prosecutor.
What we have seen of him on televised committee confrontations is an individual that is very skilled at the art of rhetoric. Another quality that jumps off the screen, to anyone who is basically “with him”, is his ability to win an open debate against all comers.
Another point about Trey Gowdy is his refusal to back down from those trying to move from debate to insinuation and insulting attacks. He verbally mauls them. It is enjoyable to watch.
So, with all things considered, I would think that your (txhurl) earlier comments about Mr. Gowdy possibly being approached by President Trump, for a specific job in draining the swamp, makes perfect sense.
