Besides the privacy issue, there's the recommendation issue.
When I do an internet search for a product I know the engine I use will have a bias for a product. I compensate for this by scrolling down to see what other choices there are.
These internet helpers are going to steer people to only designated sites limiting choice.
The choice will be made for you.

Orwell couldn’t have imagined that we’d be dumb enough to buy them ourselves.
That’s nothing, there are toilets designed to check your bio status from your visits.
Imagine your employer looking over the contents of your fatty diet.
