Sweet.

Whatever super old people liked or did a lot, they credit. Onions, whisky, whatever.

Well, I’m just a youngster of 93, and I still walk every day and I still drive. The car is going to die before I do.

Maybe the smell of onions kept others away, and hence less exposure to germs?

My grandfather smoked a cigar or four every day up until he was in his 80s. He lived to be 94.

We credit beer and onions for my grandpa’s long life. For generations all the men in his family died before age 70. He lived to be 93.

As a teen I’d almost gag watching him prepare and eat onion sandwiches: wonder bread, thick layer of margarine, then raw onion slices. He’d crunch away on it, happy as a clam.
