I think it’s because HRC stinks - like cabbage or other stinky stuff, evergreen is the name of the pine scented air freshener “trees” that you buy to hang up and freshen the air.
LOL The SS has a sense of humor + the way she treats them they despise her. Have read over the years about some close to her mentioning the stink.
