Something about the exchange having a hard time with four-digit stock price.

So, in essence, the NYSE has a Y2K like issue? Their systems can only handle three digit stock prices? Unbelievable to this IT guy, so I suspect its spin.

Especially since Berkshire Hathaway greatly exceeded this price without any problems.

I was equally dubious ... the only thing that tempered such skepticism is that they’re both NASDAQ traded whereas Buffet / Berkshire Hathaway (with high share prices & lower share count) has been traded on NYSE for ages - but AMZN has been above $1K - makes no sense.

I agree. That doesn’t make sense. Of course there’s been stock prices over $1000 and IT standards dictate sizes for dollar amounts. Just like no one used 6 character dates anymore. You *have* to have the century in there.

NYSE doesn’t, it was the ARCA/NASDAQ router-dealybobber I thought?

They didn’t suspend Berkshire did they?
