What would you do when somebody hits the limit?

Strikeout?

yes...strikeout....not too much different from today's intentional walk rule. Upon further reflection, though, it likely doesn't occur often enough to make a change....I can recall this year seeing perhaps 3 or 4 foul balls but rarely any more than that.

If 6-10 fouls was common and always slowing the game, I'd consider giving the batter 6 chances to put it in play or sit.
